Obituary of Amy M. Workman

Amy Moriah Workman beloved daughter of Sara Winn Thompson Giacobbe and Don Workman, sister of six and an endless source of love and inspiration, joined hands with our Father in Heaven and those loved ones gone before her on December 31, 2020. She was born in Tallahassee and grew up in St. Petersburg. Amy chose to complete high school in Tallahassee and graduated from Florida State University School in 1996. She subsequently earned her degree in Studio Art from Florida State University. Amy was a glorious young woman; intelligent, independent, and adventurous. She landed her dream job at the Museum of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg, but in 2005, was diagnosed with MS and soon relegated to the need for around-the-clock home care. During her long, painful and debilitating battle with MS, Amy exuded the Faith, Love, strength and endurance that was her nature and though speech had escaped her, her expressions spoke volumes and her towering influence became a stalwart gift to all who cared for and visited her. Left to cherish her memory are her mother Sara Winn, father, Don, siblings Ashley Giacobbe Starner, Michael Giacobbe, Maria Giacobbe LaNeve, Joseph Giacobbe, Brooke Workman Piland, McKinnley Workman Benoit, grandmother Patricia Turnley Roberts, uncle Larry Workman, aunt Rebecca Christensen, uncle Lee Thompson, aunt Julie Wainwright Feeney, aunt Marian W. Lambeth and her loving nieces, nephews and innumerable friends and colleagues.
