Obituary of Douglas Kurt Olsen

Olsen, Douglas “Doug” Kurt. 52, of St. Petersburg passed away Monday, June 24th, 2019. He is survived by his beautiful wife of 21 years, Michelle; 2 daughters, Morgan and Taylor; Father, Kurt; 2 brothers, Robb and Matthew; as well as in-laws Alex and Cheryl, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and amazing friends he’s had the privilege of knowing. He is preceded in death by his mother Marcia, Aunt Alice, and Uncle Jan. He was a very hard worker of many professions. He had a love for the outdoors. For most of his life he enjoyed being outdoors, he liked being in the pool with his 2 black labs, fishing on his boat with his family in the bay or down in the Keys or out in the woods with his father and friends. He played football for over 30 years from little league to high school to semi-pro; he had such a love for it and met most of his friends through the sport. He always knew how to put a smile on others faces; he was very friendly and was loved by many people for his blunt and outgoing personality. He will be missed by many and loved by his family. “It’s not goodbye, so we will see you when we see you.”
