Obituary of Dale Allen Sutton

Dale Allen Sutton of St. Petersburg went to live with his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, 30 December, 2020. His loving parents, William and Thelma Sutton, welcomed him with open arms when he was received into Heaven. Born on 11 July, 1953, in Cincinnati, OH, Dale grew up in St. Petersburg, FL. Dale incorporated his love of nature into his landscaping business, Sutton Sprinklers and Sod, and leaves a legacy of beautiful gardens at many homes in the St. Petersburg area. Dale will be remembered for always having joy in his heart, his unfailing generosity, both materially and spiritually, his mischievous smile, and his antics. Countless stories of luck, mishaps, and outlandish goings on have now become cherished memories for those who knew and loved him. Through hard won wisdom, Dale’s favorite bible verses were Proverbs 3:5 and 6: ‘Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.’ Dale is survived by his wife of 25 years, Christine Sutton, with whom he finally found the love of his life. He will be missed everyday by his family; daughter and son-in-law, David and Lisa Morrow; step-daughter, Carrie Stewart; son and daughter-in-law, Alexander and Jamie Sutton; sister and brother-in-law Linda and Randy Brown; grandchildren Joshua and Helana Morrow, Xander Stewart, and nieces Tina Mineo (Jack) Vicki Helbert (Brandon), and Randa Blackley (Jonathan), 8 great nieces and nephews; and all of the extended family he created through his boundless love, kindness, and irresistible charm.
