Charles Pravda

Obituary of Charles Randall Pravda

Charles Pravda peacefully took his last breath on the evening of Friday March 4th 2022. He was born in Chicago on July 15th, 1945. Charles's parents decided to move to Florida while Charles was still at a young age. Quickly Charles interests and hobbies were those of a true Florida native. He was a very skilled individual. A jack of all trades. He loved the great outdoors. Charles spent many days out in the Florida heat from working on projects in the yard at home to hunting out in the middle of nowhere. Charles loved spearfishing and diving as well. He was a part of a local dive group called “Sea Salts” with all of these inspiring hobbies, great friendships bloomed. Charles had a pure, focused, caring touch whether it came to the ones close to him or caring for his many orchids. Education was very important to Charles. This is not just because of the fact that he married a teacher either. He began school at Mildred Helms Elementary School and followed through grade school, graduating from Largo High School. Charles was very dedicated to his career working for Pinellas County Water Department. He was very passionate about his studies, so much so that Charles only drank tap water. His health never held him back. Through multiple forms of cancer, broken bones, multiple operations. Charles never gave up even on his last day he kept fighting. He was a true walking miracle for many years. Charles Pravda is survived by his wife Kay Pravda, Daughter Carolyn Redding, Son in law William Redding, Stepsons Chris and Mark Capobianco, and Many grandchildren, Angel and Anthony Warf, Aubrey and Aiden Redding, Marisa, Nicholas, and Mathew Capobianco. Cremation has taken place and no formal funeral service is scheduled.
