Obituary of David G. Cooper

David "Dave" Cooper, age 81, of Clearwater, Florida, passed away on January 26th, 2024, at home surrounded by his loving family. David was born January 9th, 1943, in Romsey, Hampshire, England. He married Penny on March 21st, 1964 in Crawley, Sussex England. They emigrated to Canada, where they resided in Windsor, Ontario, before moving to Toronto, Canada. In 1988 the couple, along with their two sons, emigrated to Florida where they all enjoyed boating, soccer, beaches, swimming, and sunshine.

David was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Ivy Cooper, and his siblings Marion and Graham. David is survived by his wife Penelope "Penny"; two sons Timothy and Simon; two grandchildren Saraya and Josiah; sister Pauline "Polly"; and nieces Nicola, Natalie, and Lindsay of Ontario, Canada.

David was employed by American Tool and Mold Company. After his retirement, he traveled extensively, enjoyed sailing and RV'ing, and could always be found on a soccer pitch supporting both of his sons and their teams, and also walking his beloved greyhounds!

David was very resourceful and with his engineering background and could fix anything and everything. He was always ready to give a helping hand to anyone in need. His charm and impeccable manners will always be remembered!

David's Celebration of Life will be held on February 16th, 2024, at 2:30pm at E James Reese Funeral Home, 6767 Seminole, FL 33772.
