Obituary of Michael J Wiedeman

Wiedeman, Michael John, 75, of St. Petersburg passed away January 19th, 2024 at home.  Born and raised in Wadsworth, Ohio, he graduated from Wadsworth High School in 1966.  He attended the University of Akron and retired from The St. Petersburg Times where he was a Delivery Services Manager.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Wiedeman and Susan Dawson.  Mike is survived by his children, Kim Kirven (Chuck Dalton, fiancée) and Matt (Jenn) Wiedeman; siblings, Rob (Carol) Wiedeman and Eric (Bernie) Wiedeman; grandchildren: Jake, Nick (Jordan), Kassidy and Olivia Kirven, Logan and Noah Wiedeman, three great-grandchildren; niece LeAnne (Jason) McKendree; nephews Greg and Robbie (Rachel) Wiedeman.  Mike was a very independent, resourceful and loving individual.  He loved to fish and boat with his brothers as well as searching for the best antiques.  He also treasured his daily strolls with his trusty companion, Missy.  His faith helped him overcome many obstacles in his life and he was certain to share how grateful he was for his second chance at life.  He also looked forward to visits in St. Pete from his children from Ohio as well as weekly visits from his local family members.   Mike often expressed his gratitude for the many neighbors who would check in on him frequently.  A private service will be held at a later date.
