Obituary of Christina Jean Cotner

Christina Jean Cotner, 40, of St. Peterburg passed away January 5, 2024. Born in Elgin, Illinois and moved to Merritt Island, Florida in 1996, where she graduated from Merritt Island High School. She proceeded on to college and attended Barry University in Miami, where she earned her degree, Bachelor of Science in Biology.

She is preceded in death by her father, David Cotner, brother Andrew Cotner, grandparents Carl and Francis Cotner and Thomas and Ann Mahle. Christina is survived by her husband Bryan Selvig, son Atlas Selvig, mother Margaret Cotner, sister Caroline Griffith, brother John Cotner and nieces and nephews Mckenzie, Cael, Aubrey and Ethan.

Christina will be remembered for being the most giving person and always thinking about others. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She loved to travel and spend quality time with her friends and family.

Christina’s memorial service will be Saturday February 10, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Divine Mercy Catholic Church in Merritt Island, followed by a Celebration of Life reception at 1:00 PM at River Rocks Dockside, Rockledge.
