Obituary of Miles Fraser Carothers

Miles F. Carothers, 79, of St. Petersburg, passed away Friday, December 22, 2023 surrounded by his loved ones at Bay Front Medical Center. 

Born in Milford, Connecticut, he is preceded in death by his parents Claire and Robert F. Carothers and sister Roberta C. Burdick.  He is survived by his niece Jennifer Addotta as well as two grand nephews and one grand niece.

Mr. Carothers was a graduate of Walpole High School in New Hampshire.  Shortly after he joined the US Army, proudly serving two tours of duty in Vietnam.  He was also a graduate of Florida State University.

Mr. Carothers liked to travel and lived in Hong Kong, China for two years where he ran a successful American restaurant.  He also worked as a respiratory therapist at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. After his retirement he continued to travel and volunteered his time at Bay Pines VA Medical Center.
