Obituary of John Saldeen

John “Allan” Saldeen, 89, of The Villages passed away on December 19, 2023 at Suncoast Hospice in Pinellas Park.  He had moved in a few weeks prior to his passing, but his love for his wife Carol M. Saldeen was too strong to keep him there.  She preceded him in death on November 4, 2023.  They were married for 65 wonderful years and are together once again.

Allan is survived by his son, Bob and his wife, Lisa;  grandsons Tyler Sondag and Levi Newton of Denver, and Noah Sondag and his wife Sabrina, along with one great grand daughter, Celia Lynn Sondag (who he adored).  

Allan spent most of his life in Champaign, IL, and moved to Florida in 2004.  He was an Electronics Engineer for the University of Illinois and an all around great guy.  He will be greatly missed.
