Obituary of Patricia Ann Son

Patrica Ann Son, 85, of Dunedin, FL, formerly of East Peoria, IL, passed away at Meadow Park Health Care Center on Monday, November 6, 2023.

Pat was born on February 2, 1938, in Peoria, IL, to Gilbert and Gwendolyn (Plumpton) Pelz. On November 12, 1955, she married the love of her life, Jerry Son, in Creve Coeur, IL. She was preceded in death by her mother, father and brothers, Butch Pelz and Don Pelz, all of Peoria. Surviving Pat are her husband, Jerry; sisters, Rosie Jorgensen and Gloria Burton; and her children, Michael Son (Deb), Karen Lawrence (Robert) and Dan Son (Barbara). Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Pat loved to bake and decorate cakes. She retired from Sears and dedicated her life to her children and grand children. Her best friend was Bernice Luft and they would travel with their husbands around the country and could always be found playing cards or bowling on the weekends. Jerry and Pat settled down in Dunedin, FL, to enjoy the warm winters. She will be remembered for her kind heart and a joyful kind smiling spirit.
