Obituary of Evelin M Henry

Evelin McNeil Henry, 87, of St. Petersburg, FL passed under Hospice care on October 7, 2023. She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Thomas K. Henry. She is survived by her sons Michael Henry, Ned Henry (Jane) and Owen Henry (Gerrith); daughter Geneva (Tom) Farrell; a sister, Jean Kovacs; five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A longtime resident of Fairfield, CT, Evie attended the University of Connecticut and Rollins College. She was a Sunday school teacher and youth swimming coach and enjoyed water skiing and synchronized swimming. Evie loved traveling, visiting Europe (three times), Mexico and Hawaii. Other passions included cooking, gardening, floral designing and taking grandchildren Shannan and Tommy to DisneyWorld. She cherished her loving relationships with family and friends and received their devotion in return. A celebration of life will be held in the near future.
