Obituary of Cheryl Ann Huegli

Cheryl Ann (Szwedko) Huegli, 62, of Largo, FL, passed away on May 17, 2023. She was the beloved wife of the late Gordon R. Huegli and the daughter of the late Robert C. Szwedko and Mary Eleanore Szwedko-Rose. Raised in Oakmont, Pa., Cheryl was a 1979 graduate of Riverview High School and went on to take classes in Nursing and Psychology as she was very people-oriented, caring and loving. Cheryl and Gordon moved to Largo, Florida with all of their belongings in a tiny U-haul where they remained for over 40 years. She dedicated her life to raising her children and maintaining their home and business. She was very proud of her family and enjoyed many outdoor adventures with them over the years. Cheryl had the ability to make everyone laugh and was excellent at storytelling. She often talked of being a stand-up comedian. Her vibrant nature and contagious laughter will be missed by many.

She is survived by her children Megan Huegli, Brandon (Ashley) Huegli, and Gordon (Jess) Huegli II; and grandsons Levi and Colt. Cheryl is also survived by her mother, Mary Eleanore Szwedko-Rose; siblings Christine (Robert) Bosch, Robert (Joyce) Szwedko, Michael (Peggy) Szwedko, Lori (Duilio) Costa, and Nina Johnston; and many nieces and nephews. She is also predeceased by her sister Linda Goldfarb.

A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held at American Legion Post 273 between the hours of 3:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday June 30, 2023.
