Obituary of Joseph Edward Redmond
Joseph E. Redmond died March 13, 2022, in Oldsmar, Florida. Joe was born in 1946 in Clinton Iowa. He spent his childhood years in Clinton as well as San Francisco. After graduating from high school, Joe went to the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN, where he received two degrees. His time there was interrupted by a call from the U.S. Army. Joe served just shy of two years in Vietnam.
Joe returned to Minnesota and spent the majority of his professional career in medical sales. In 1982, Joe and Jan were introduced by their good friends, Mary and Brian in Luck, Wisconsin. They enjoyed life in northern Wisconsin for three chilly years. They left “God’s Country” for the sunny skies of Florida where they embraced new friendships that have lasted a lifetime. Joe treasured his faith, love of his family and his friends. Joe had a passion for life, laughter, golf, and sailing the Caribbean to boating the shores of a very special place known as Balsam Lake.
Joe is survived by his wife, Jan. Sister Anne, (Denny) Alvestad of Ankeny, Iowa, and brother-in-law Dean (Kim) Larsen of Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
