Obituary of Gloria Commisto

On May 28, 2019, Gloria Maria Commisto went to the Arms of God. She was 93 years old. She passed after a short illness with her daughter and granddaughters by her side. Gloria was born on November 3, 1925 in Manhattan. She is preceded in death by her parents Tomasa and Emilio Zarate and her sister Anita Hall. Gloria was a retired Legal Secretary. She retired from a large Corporate Law Firm on Park Ave., NYC. She worked many years for that law firm and in Manhattan. She retired to Clearwater, Florida. She loved Florida very much. She loved to watch TV, game shows in particular, loved her pets and was a fun loving person who was adored by her children and grandchildren. Very youthful even in old age, she will be remembered for her sweet disposition and beauty. Although infirm in her later years she never complained, happy to still have her family around. She is survived by her daughter, Carol Reilly, her son, Joseph (Becky) Commisto, Granddaughters, Leigh Anne, Jennifer (Anthony), Stephanie, Samantha and Lauren and her great grandsons Anthony Joseph, and John Michael. She is also survived by her brother Thomas Zarate and many nieces and nephews. She was unique and will be greatly missed by all. She will be buried in the family plot in the countryside of NY State where she spent many years with her cousins and other family near their summer country home.
