Obituary of Marjorie Y. Solomon

Marjorie was born in Bradford, Vt. on May 30, 1936 to William and Marjorie Young. She was the youngest of six. She peacefully departed this life and entered into eternity with her heavenly Father on January 9, 2021. Gone before her were the love of her life H. T. “Sol” Solomon, her parents, her brothers Bob, Gordon and Arthur Young. Left to cherish her memory are her brothers Lyle and Edmond Young, her two children Lisette and (Marty) Ratcliffe, Theodore and (Brenda) Solomon, five grandchildren Chad Ratcliffe, Christopher Ratcliffe, Callie Solomon, Knoah Solomon and Zouiey Solomon, and three great grandchildren Luken, McKynlee and Aydan Hall. She cherished and sacrificially lived for her family. Leading by example that hard work pays off, she retired from Winn Dixie and went on post retirement to work in the cafeteria at 74th Street Elementary School. In addition to loving her family and friends, she loved enjoying nature. She was an example of love, generosity, strength and perseverance. She wasn’t one to mince her words, you definitely knew her opinion and where you stood with her. Best of all she was a beautiful example of 1 Corinthians 13:7 “Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.” In her memory share a smile with a stranger, take a flower to a friend, give a hand up to someone in need and or give to your favorite charity.
