Obituary of Fred W. MacKenzie

Pinellas Park, FL- Fredrick Warren MacKenzie, 75 formerly of Colchester, VT, died unexpectedly Friday, July 2nd, 2021. Fred was born December 5, 1945, in Quincy, MA. He enlisted in the US Navy, where he proudly served his country, after which time he held many diverse roles. For many years fulfilling positions in the auto sales industry, where many affectionately called him “Mackie”. Fred was a devoted husband to Linda for 34 years. It was clear to see the love he had for both her and his cherished daughter Darcy. Fred was loaded with personality, he enjoyed entertaining, helping others, and being involved in his community. He was colorful, authentic, kind, poetic, friend to all, who never met a stranger that did not become a friend, and was one of the happiest, positive, and grateful human beings you could spend time with. Fred is predeceased by his mother, Marian Harris MacKenzie, father, Russell Mackenzie and brother, Douglas MacKenzie. Fred is survived by his loving wife and soulmate, Linda R. MacKenzie, daughter, Darcy Putzier and husband Tim, sister, Linda Keddrell, brother-in-law Rick Russell and wife Debbie, brother-in-law Tim Russell and wife Kim, sisters- in-law Erin Davis and Holly Rouelle, along with many nieces and nephews. He also had many longtime friends whom he considered like family, included in this extended family is his close friend Ken St Jean. No services will be held at this time.
