Obituary of Lavona P. Sakowich

Lavona “Lovey” P. Sakowich went to be with Jesus on August 2nd, 2020. Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, on Sept. 23rd, 1942 (77) to Helen Rutkowski and Joseph Pentka (Pientka). She is survived by Daughter, Kim Royal, Son, Gary Beavers, brother, Joseph Pentka and sister, Jeanette Mead. Her passing was preceded by her son Kenneth Beavers, Sister, Delores Kalafian and her parents. She was a licensed cosmetologist by trade but loved being a mother and grandmother more. She had 9 Grandchildren; Joseph, Christina, Shawn, Justin K., Lana, Sandy, Justin D., Sheila and Kenny. And also had 14 great-grandkids. All of whom she prayed for on a daily basis. She loved going to church and worshipping Jesus. Her greatest hope was that her friends and family would come to know who Jesus is as Lord and loving Savior.
