Sandra “Sandi” Oboikovitz

Devoted mother and grandmother

Sandra Dale Oboikovitz, nee Blum, aged 75 of Athens, GA, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2022 in Largo, FL. Born on November 19, 1946 in Chicago to Jacob and Marjorie Blum, she grew up in the city’s South Shore neighborhood. She enjoyed living in and exploring the City of Chicago, especially the city’s lakefront and museums. 

Sandi graduated from the Chicago Vocational School (CVS) in 1964.  Later, in 1964, Sandi married Michael E. Oboikovitz Sr. They worked together in their small business for most of their years together. They were blessed with three children: Michael, Stacey, and Rachel.  

Sandi was an avid gardener and loved to travel, especially to visit friends and family in Florida. Her other hobbies included following current affairs and spending time with her grandchildren. 

Sandi was preceded in death by her husband, Mike, and daughter, Stacey.  

She is survived by her children, Michael Jr. and Rachel (Joe) Watson; three grandchildren: William (Marie), Paige, and Benjamin; two great-grandchildren: Caiden and Avery; her dog, Penny, and many friends and other family members.

Sandi will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and steadfast loyalty.
