TZ Elinor

Obituary of TZ Elinor

Talmai Zethor, TZ Elinor passed peacefully while surrounded by his family on August 2, 2022. TZ was born on August 11, 1930 to Dr. Talmai and Cozette (nee Shaw) Elinor in Sharon, Tennessee, and later opened TZ’s Pick Pack, a gas and sundries store, on his family’s property. TZ was a Staff Sargent in the US Air Force and eventually found his way to St. Louis, Missouri where he met the love of his life, Faith FelDotto, whom he married on April 16, 1955.

TZ was a successful pharmaceutical sales representative for NARCO Drug Company and retired in 1985. At that time, he invested in pharmacies including those in St. Louis and Bonne Terre, Missouri. Beyond his success, TZ was most proud to be the father to his three children and loved nothing more when the five were able to spend time together.

If you knew TZ, you know his voice was unforgettable, as was his presence and his desire to have fun. TZ loved boating with his family and was known as the “Governor” to many friends. The love of water brought him to St. Pete Beach, Florida where he and Faith lived for almost 35 years.

TZ will be greatly missed by those he leaves behind, including his wife, Faith, children, Denise Elinor, Shari Elinor and Craig (Deanna) Elinor, eight grandchildren, and six great grandchildren, brother in law, Jerry (Sally) FelDotto, nephew, nieces and friends. TZ wished for no services, but we ask that you keep his memory alive by continuing to share your favorite stories of him and toast him with a cocktail each opportunity you get. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
