Obituary of Mark G Katko

Mark G Katko, age 56 received his wings on Monday, June 20th, 2022, surrounded by his loved ones in the comfort of his home, in Pinellas Park, Florida.

Although we are sad of his passing, Mark would want us all to rejoice in his desire to live his life to the fullest. Everyday was an adventure for Mark. Whether it was his love of food. He was always on the hunt for the next best hole in the wall restaurant or collecting the ingredients for a new recipe from food network. He was an avid outdoors man. Recently, he leaned how to scuba dive. You could always find him biking or walking around town. He thoroughly enjoyed his time spent camping off grid or kayaking down alligator infested waters. He always knew the best coffee and loved drinking it on the beach in the morning watching the sunrise. Mark loved traveling the world and seeing all the beauty it had to offer and sharing it with the ones that he loved. No day was wasted by Mark, on the off chance he was home, he was sure to be watching old Television shows or watching his favorite team The Ohio State Buckeyes. “Go Bucks” or in certain company “Roll tide”. No matter where or what Mark always had big dreams, and always followed through. But nothing was more important to Mark than his family and his friends.

Mark had a heart of gold, and his ability to love was beyond measure. He leaves behind is loving wife and Soulmate Sue Katko. Sister, Millie Irwin and niece Madeline. Bonus mom, Judy Callaway. Children Tara and Ken Dunaway, Annette and Lee Hevner. Bonus children Josh and Jen Mercer, Amanda and Ben Huenefeld, Jessica and Tony Sexton. Along with grandchildren; Chris (Chelsea), Devon, Nathan (Katie), Alexia (Eric), Ryleigh, Gavin, Maverick, Mackenzie, Wesley, Maddie, Breonna, Alyssa, Jr, Jayden, Kailyn and Makayla. As well as great grandchildren; Emelia, Vivianne, Jaiden, Eli, Lily, Aliyah and Alanah. Blood didn’t make you family to Mark. Through out his life he had many relationships that were incredibly important to him. Near or far he held you in his heart forever, including his dear friends Jimmy, Olga, Lencho, Harold and Lillian.

He was welcomed into eternal life by his parents Ken and JoAnne Katko. As well as his son Justice Wilcox.

Family and friends are welcome to celebrate Mark’s life on Saturday, July 9th, 2022, At St. Charles Borromeo Church at 1842 Airport Hwy. Toledo Ohio 43609, starting at 10am until mass begins at 11am. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you consider living life to the fullest, and find your own adventure, in honor of Mark. There has been a Facebook group created in his memory, we can share all our memories as well as our new adventures, so Marks legacy and his love for life continues.
