Rhoda Ann Gooch

Holiday - Rhoda Ann Gooch, 79 , passed away after a short illness May 20, 2022 at home. She was born on January 21, 1943 in Walterboro, South Carolina, the daughter of Martin Luther and Hazel Hires. 

     She was preceeded on death by her parents, her brothers Gene and Willie Hires and her daughter Marie Abreo. 

     She is survived by her partner Michelle Landino.  Her sister in law, Joyce Hires of South Carolina. Daughters, Patricia Streubber of Arizona, Laura Wheatley of Colorado, Janice Kleinmoore of South Carolina, and her son Peter Gooch of North Carolina. Numerous neices and nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

     Rhoda was a retired Registered Nurse of 32 years. Graduate of Wil Lou Gray Nursing Program in Columbia, South Carolina. She was very adventurous and loved to travel. Climbed Mountians and Parasailed on her travels. She was musically inclined and loved to paint and keep those around her laughing with her quick wit and jokes for days.She never met a stranger and loved her family and friends to no end. She could pick up a musical instrument and just start playing it and Sound good.

    She will be missed greatly and will always be with those in her life, living in our hearts forever.
