Obituary of Barbara Helen Keene

Ms. Barbara Helen Keene (nee Lyons), of Seminole, Florida; formerly of Warrenton, Missouri; crossed over to be with Jesus on January 4, 2022.  She was born on February 25, 1938 in Alton, Illinois, to the late Mr. Wyman Lee Lyons and Helen Snell. She reached the age of 83 years, 10 months, and 10 days.

On October 14, 1955, Barbara was united in marriage to Pearl Lester Keene (deceased).  To this union they were blessed with five children; Kim, Kalvin, Keith, Kenny, and Kelli. 

Her beautiful grandchildren and great grandchildren knew her as Mimi. In 1991, Pearl (late husband) and Barb owned a bar in Warrenton named "Mimi's Place". This is where everyone else in town soon called her Mimi. She sold it in 1995.  She loved playing cards, dominoes, farkle, going to resale stores, and garage sales. 

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Pearl; her parents, Wyman and Helen; two sons, Keith and Kalvin; and one sister, Georgia Staggs.  

She is survived by three children, Kim Keene-Terviel of Osage Beach, Kenneth Keene (Barb) of New Melle, and Kelli Keene of Seminole, FL. Her 8 grandchildren: Shawn Brown (Kimberly), Bryan Brown (Angela), Adam Keene (Brenna), Alex Keene, Hannah Pollard (Tyler), Kristina Rogers , Beth Lansford (Jason), and Brandon Keene (Heather), 14 great grandchildren, two brothers, Gary Lyons and Dennis Lyons (Karen). and many other relatives and friends.
