Obituary of Yvonne Leja

Yvonne Leja, 78, passed away on January 11, 2022. Yvonne is survived by her daughter, Barbara Leja Wetzel (George), and son, Tom Leja (Linda); sister, Doreen Frederick (Ray); grandchildren, Matt, Natalie and Rachel Wetzel and Calista and Liam Leja; great-grandchildren, Liam and Lucas Wetzel; niece and nephew, Victoria and Steven Frederick; and her best friends Brenda and Elmer. Yvonne joins her daughter, Karen Leja, who recently passed in March 2020; and her parents Clifford and Marjorie Thompson. Yvonne was a resident of Largo,Florida and also lived 25 years in Dunedin/Clearwater Beach. Prior to Florida, she lived in Bolingbrook, Illinois. Yvonne was well known for her sense of humor and love of cats, but she was most proud of going back to school as an adult and earning a college Bachelor’s degree in Marketing. A Memorial Service and Celebration of Yvonne’s Life will be held later this summer (date and location to be decided). .
