Obituary of David J. Schultz

David Schultz was born October 13, 1961. He was the 7th child of eight siblings. His mother and father (Jean, and Clem) brought David home after birth in a shoe box. In the early years, life was simple, and happy moments found in playing outdoors, lively discussions that included story telling of proud ancestry, music, singing, and monopoly games that lasted days. On one outdoor occasion, David saved his younger sister Rebecca from being bitten by a rattlesnake. He was 11, she was six years of age. David’s childhood passion for bicycles continued throughout his entire life, as did his affinity for proper watches. He was rarely spotted without a watch on his wrist. All things considered, David’s greatest source of joy was music. An avid rock and roll historian, he knew trivia more than most. He met some of his favorite musicians in person, usually by way of “persuasive measures”. David was charismatic and convincing. While he never married, David was loved and cared for by a tight knit circle. He wove into lives as a bright, strange thread, leaving an impermeable mark. “Schultz” was indeed a rare bird. His wit, humor and storytelling will be greatly missed by all who knew him. When parting, David used to say “Vaya con Dios” (Go with God), and “God bless”. While not a religious man, David believed in God. He is survived by his sisters Rebecca (Schultz) Rosario, Camille Motley and Pam Stanislow, nieces, nephews, and dearest friend and guardian angel, Cylena Waters.
