Obituary of Kenneth Frederick Marsh

Kenneth Marsh, 54, loving husband and father of two, passed away peacefully in the care of hospice on Sunday, September 27, 2020. Ken was born in Roseland Community Hospital on October 1, 1965 in Chicago, IL to Frederick John Marsh and Marion McInnes Downie. He graduated from Alan B Shepard High School in Palos Heights, IL in 1985 and received his Doctorate of Pharmacy degree in 1990 from the University of Illinois College of Pharmacy. On May 5, 1990 he married his loving wife, Veronica, and relocated to Florida a month later where he practiced pharmacy for 29 years before retiring. In his younger days, Ken traveled with his parents to Scotland where his mother, Marion, was born. He played the guitar and sang with his mother at church. He loved the beach and always wanted to vacation somewhere near the ocean whether it be Costa Rica or The Bahamas. He was happy listening to Bob Marley and Jimmy Buffett while driving around in his Jeep. He enjoyed watching all of the Star Trek series and Shark Tank. Ken took great pride in watching his son, Iain, become an officer in the Marine Corps and watching his daughter, Kirstyn, become a beautiful and intelligent young lady. Ken is preceded in death by his father, Frederick. He is survived by his mother, Marion, his wife, Veronica, his children, Iain and Kirstyn and several aunts, uncles and cousins, and many friends. Our family would like to thank the staff of Morton Plant Hospital and Suncoast Hospice for their care, compassion and support. The family will be holding a private celebration of life. We will miss him dearly.
