Obituary of Mary Theresa Jeffries

Mary Theresa Jeffries (nee Erbe) passed from this life on July 19, 2019, at her home in Largo, Florida, surrounded by her husband, her children, and adult grandchildren after a year long battle against pancreatic cancer. She was 63 years old. Mary Theresa was born in Point Pleasant, New Jersey and, with her family, migrated to Florida in 1992. She was an HR professional and talent recruiter for TTi, Inc., of Rochester, Michigan for many years, but spent the last 15 years of her working life assisting Native American Healthcare organizations and other not for profit medical providers to attract top flight doctors, nurses, and technicians. Her work took her across the globe and she truly loved what she did. Her two great loves in life were her family and travel. Her greatest pride was her children and grandchildren and she loved them all fiercely, as well as her brothers and sisters who she also loved with all her heart. During her life she traveled to virtually every corner of the globe soaking up the life and culture of each place she visited and when she returned from each trip began planning the next. She was also an avid camper and outdoorswoman and together with her husband spent many a fine week roaming the forests and fields of Alaska, New Mexico, and Florida. She is survived by her husband, Kevin Coxe; her father Harry Erbe; her children Jennifer (Almodovar); Stephanie (Brown) and Steven Jeffries, Jr., as well as her brothers Michael and Darren; her sisters Sherry and Colleen; ten grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her mother Cherie Erbe (nee Donaldson) and her brothers, Sean, Harry, and Kevin. We all shall miss the sweet sound of her voice and laughter; gazing into the most beautiful blue eyes God gave any human, and the warmth of her love, which she gave so freely. She’s gone to God far too soon.
