Obituary of Ralph E. Hall

Ralph E. Hall, 68, died Friday, December 28 at his home in Hudson, Florida. He was born on May 8, 1950 in Muncie, Indiana, to Phyllis (McCord) Parker. Ralph was a 1968 graduate of Albany High School and earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in teaching from Ball State University. He spent 32 years as a language arts teacher with Mississinewa Community Schools before retiring in 2007. After retirement, Ralph moved to Florida, where he was an avid pickleball and tennis player. He also enjoyed running, attending concerts, and watching IU basketball. He is survived by two daughters, April (Roger) Dickey of Gas City and Megan (Justin) Swift of Muncie; a son, Aaron Hall of Portland; two brothers, Steve (Jane) Hall of Albany and Marty (Deborah) Hall of Eaton; a sister, Becky (Jerry) Pierce of Selma; ten grandchildren Taylor, Brooklyn, Jamison, and Landon Dickey of Gas City, Mallory, Micah, Jonah, and David Swift of Muncie, Makenzie Hall of Fishers, and Kyri Hall of Portland; as well as an aunt, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Those whose lives have been touched by Ralph will participate in a private service to reminisce and reflect on Ralph’s life.
