Obituary of Patrick Brooks

Patrick Brooks, of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away at the age of only 53, on November 14th, 2020. Originally from South Florida, Patrick moved to Conyers, Georgia at the age of 18 to help his first wife and mother of his children, Natalie Taylor, and her father open their Italian restaurant, Michelangelo’s. The list of all that he accomplished and people he touched during his time as head chef at Michelangelo’s goes on and on. Following the sale of Michelangelo’s, Patrick remained in food service as a Food Sales Representative, serving restaurants of metro Atlanta. His long and successful career was due to his extensive knowledge and passion for food. In December of 2019, Patrick and his current wife, Meredith, leapt at the opportunity to open a restaurant of their own. They moved to St. Petersburg, Florida and began construction on a beautiful seafood restaurant on Maderia Beach. Patrick had always planned to return back to Florida once his two children, Niki and Taylor, had grown. Patrick was not only known amongst his family and friends for his cooking, but also his love of fishing and boating. He was happiest out on the water with a fishing pole in hand. Patrick is survived by his wife, Meredith Oliver of St. Petersburg, FL, his children, Taylor Brooks (28) and Nicole Brooks (25) of Atlanta, GA, his parents, Mary Katzer of Tavares, FL and Bryan Brooks of Amelia Island, FL. He is also survived by his two older brothers, Christopher Brooks and Michael Brooks.
